Higher percentages of Albany students pass state tests
Compared to Oregon students overall, higher percentages of Albany students met or exceeded the state requirements in reading, mathematics, science, and writing at 17 of 20 performance categories, according to the Oregon Department of Education 2007-2008 district report card. The biggest difference in passing rates for Albany students occurred at the 10th grade, where significantly greater percentages of students met or exceeded state standards in all four subject areas.
